Amanat Sandhu, B.A. (Honours), M.A., Dual J.D.

Amanat has extensive experience across a wide variety of immigration matters including study permits, work permits, temporary and permanent residence applications, and judicial review applications.

Amanat received her Canadian and American Dual Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Prior to law school, Amanat received a Master of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from York University.

During law school, Amanat partook in various litigation competitions including the Windsor Law Immigration Debate, the Zuber Moot Court Competition, the Patrick A. Keenan Appellate Advocacy Tournament as a finalist, and the Adam F. Fanaki Competition Law Moot as a finalist. Through these competitions, Amanat had the opportunity to litigate in front of many esteemed lawyers and judges, including Justice Rothstein of the Supreme Court of Canada. Her litigation experience has instilled a fierce passion for advocacy which allows Amanat to zealously represent clients in a variety of complex immigration matters.

Amanat is fluent in Punjabi and is currently in the process of obtaining her license to practice law in the US.
