John Matkowsky

John is a founding partner of Matkowsky Immigration and practices in all areas of immigration law. He assists clients with inadmissibility matters, procedural fairness letters, family sponsorship, H&C, study permits, LMIAs, work permits, economic immigration through Express Entry and PNPs, PR residency obligation, PR Card renewals, and citizenship.
John is a licensed Senior Immigration Consultant (RCIC), and is a member in good standing with the CICC. John holds a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Queens University and holds a Chartered Investment Manager designation.Earlier in his career, John worked in the financial markets as a Chartered Investment Manager and trader for large Canadian Banks and Private Family Trusts. More than a decade ago, John transitioned from helping individuals and families manage their investments to helping them immigrate to Canada under investor and business immigration programs.

John lived in New York City, Indonesia, Australia and Hong Kong. While living abroad, he dealt with many immigration issues himself, which guided him into practicing Immigration law.
